10-T) Kansas City Chiefs
Players: Willie Roaf, Will Shields, Brian Waters, Jordan Black, Tony Gonzalez
Years: 2002-2005
In 2002, head coach Dick Vermeil brought in left tackle Willie Roaf to join all-time Chief great Will Shields. The two stars made the Pro Bowl every year they played together. Shields made the Pro Bowl 12 straight years and played in an amazing 231 straight games. Roaf made the Pro Bowl 11 times during his NFL career.
While playing together it didn’t matter what running back the two blocked for. They always seemed to lead the league in rushing. Whether it was Priest Holmes or Larry Johnson, this offensive line made them a star.
The two soon to be Hall of Famers were joined by the more than serviceable Brian Waters and Tony Gonzalez. Yes, Gonzalez was technically a tight end. However, getting help with blocking from the greatest tight end in league history sure didn’t hurt their run blocking.
