Team: St. Louis Cardinals
ERA: 2.10
SVs: 48

When Trevor Rosenthal came up in the Cardinals’ organization the thought was that he was going to become a starter. Due to circumstances Rosenthal was thrust into the closer position. After two impressive years as a closer, this cardinal reliever might never get the chance to start. That is what happens when you are good at your craft.

Rosenthal has high velocity, despite throwing effortlessly. The Cardinal closer consistently puts up double-digit K/9 rates over the past two seasons. Don’t expect Rosenthal to move from the closer role anytime soon.
