Basketball arenas are different from Major League Baseball or National League Football stadiums. They are smaller, always enclosed, and have the fans closer to the court for a more intimate experience. Just as fans love going to see the fresh cut grass of a major league diamond, basketball fans love seeing the glossy hardwood of a basketball arena.
Just as in the other two major American sports, many of the more historical buildings have been getting torn down and replaced by new ones. Here is a list of NBA arenas that you need to visit or wish that you had. The history and ambiance of these buildings are what makes them special.
