The college football season is upon us. There isn’t another sport in the nation that brings out as much passion from their fans. From alumni to local residents college football fans have a rabid passion for their colleges. This is a list of some of the greatest coaches in college football history. Most of whom are long-gone as due to the high volume of turnover in college coaching.

Nick Saban is the only active coach on the list. He returns another National Championship contender at the University of Alabama. We still remember fondly what the rest of these coaches did for college football and the universities where they coached.
