BYU and Utah is an inter-state rivalry which started in 1922. The two teams have played every year except during WWII when BYU were unable to field a team. The two universities were both founded by the Church of Latter Day Saints. Both schools are heavily attended by Mormons and is referred to as the “Holy War.”

Brigham Young University has dominated the rivalry in recent years. Surprisingly, to recent college football fans, Utah has dominated the overall series. The Utah Utes won 53 games to BYU’s 34.
